Art has always been a part of my life in some capacity. Starting out as a creative outlet for my vivid imagination, my relationship with art led me to Memphis College of Arts on a 7 year scholarship where I explored every creative curiosity—drawing, cartooning, painting, pottery, paper-making, sculpture, photography. During this time, I also traveled overseas frequently, visiting with family, going on adventures, and discovering global art and culture on another level. I loved studying art history—the critical thinking, multiple interpretations, and in-depth discussions were all so enlightening. It took my artistic connection to a deeper level and pushed me forward as I developed an interest in graphic design.
With a BFA, major in the field, and fascinated by the intersection of art and psychology that constitutes advertising, I made a goal to develop a career in New York. I quickly became known, among my peers and directors, for my conceptual abilities, polished aesthetics, and innovative thinking. If asked how I’d describe myself, I’d always say as a ‘creative chameleon’ because I flow back and forth between different aesthetics and take on an array of assignments—why put yourself in a box, right? Throughout the years, I’ve never let my curiosity stop wandering—collecting inspiration from everything I see, hear, read, and experience. I've learned a lot, but one thing I’m sure of is that there's always another idea out there. My career is only limited by the bounds of my creativity and imagination… and I wouldn't have it any other way.
